A good hair extensionist will always offer you a free maintenance check about 4 weeks after you have had bonded hair extensions fitted. It is normal for you to lose some of your extensions after they have been applied. I would advise you to leave hair extensions in for too many months though, and it is advisable to give your hair a break every now and then.

An alternative to bonded hair extensions are clip in hair extensions, which can be put in and removed within minutes and offer a good temporary solution to achieving longer, thicker hair.

When people take good care of their extensions, they will last much longer than the 2 to 4 months listed in this article. The hair can be rebonded and reattached. It is up the the client to properly condition the extensions to keep them nice.
